About Fools
Fools enables early-stage founders to raise capital from enthusiastic early believers - even when they lack wealthy friends or family.
Traditional FFF rounds (Friends, Family, and Fools) are the earliest capital source, made legal at scale through Regulation Crowdfunding. We expand who “fools” can be, while insisting every check is treated professionally: a standardized Crowd SAFE, clear risk disclosure, and only capital people can afford to lose entirely.
Money movement is the core of the product. This version centers high-fidelity commitment flows that model how capital should feel operationally, while educating users on compliant paths required for actual funds to move.
Business model
- Investors: free forever
- Founders: free to create, publish, and run a raise
- A success fee on capital actually raised, through a registered funding portal — sized to cover per-raise costs (provisional, around 8%, not yet finalized)
- No upfront fees, so the founder without a wealthy network is never gated by cash
Alignment: the platform only wins when founders successfully raise.
Product origin note
Built through iterative product conversation: professional pitch creation with Crowd SAFE terms and video, a screening-room discovery experience, a public offering Q&A channel, commitment flows, dual dashboards, compliance gates, and a design system tuned for capital seriousness without private-banking cliché. Simulation supports education and walkthroughs; real rails belong with a registered funding portal.
