Fools.com - Raise your friends, family, and fools round.

What investing on Fools means.

Investors browse open rounds, ask founders questions, and track commitments in one portfolio. Read what you agree to before you invest.

How the screening room orders pitches

Pitches play newest first. You can also sort by closing soonest or alphabetical. Federal crowdfunding rules allow only objective, factual order.

Fools does not review, rank, or endorse any company. Nothing in the screening room is advice. You see each founder's own pitch.

The risks come first

You'll probably never see this money again. Most startups don't make it. A Crowd SAFE pays only if the company later raises a priced round or is acquired. Invest in people because you believe in them.

Before your first commitment, you check one box per statement. Each box is required.

  • I understand I will probably lose all of this money.
  • I understand a Crowd SAFE pays only if the company later raises a priced round or is acquired. Neither may happen.
  • I understand I cannot sell or transfer this for 12 months. A buyer may never appear after that.
  • I understand I can cancel until 48 hours before the close. After that the commitment is final.
  • I understand Fools does not review, rank, or endorse this company. Nothing here is advice.

Your limit in one sentence

Federal rules cap how much you can invest in Regulation Crowdfunding offerings in 12 months. The cap counts offerings on other platforms too. Fools asks for your income and net worth to state your limit before you commit. Fools stops a commitment above it.

You can cancel until 48 hours before the close

After that cutoff the commitment is final. The date and time appear in the commit steps and next to each commitment in your portfolio.

Your rounds in one place

Your portfolio lists each commitment with its status, its cancellation window, and its instrument. Founder updates arrive there. So does the notice of the 12-month transfer restriction.

Before a round files its Form C, a pledge is a nonbinding indication of interest. Once it files, you invest through our licensed broker-dealer partner.
