Fools, the friends, family and fools round, collects as little as it can and sells none of it.
Principles
- Data minimization. We collect what is needed for accounts, pitches, messaging, and product improvement.
- Purpose limitation. Data is used for running rounds, screening pitches, and the communications you enable.
- No sale of personal data. We do not sell your personal information.
What we process
Account identifiers (name, email), role (founder or backer), pitch content you publish, messages and discussion posts, eligibility attestations and risk acknowledgments, and basic product analytics in production. This preview stores data locally in your browser.
Research use. If you answer the Start a round questions and consent to research use, we use your answers only in aggregate to understand founders. Your record stays in the product database and you can delete it at any time.
Cookies and consent
Essential storage keeps you signed in and remembers your theme. You can accept essential only, or decline non-essential storage, from the consent banner.
Your controls
From Account, you can update preferences, export your data as JSON, and delete your account data.
Children
Fools is not directed at individuals under 18.
